Albion Athletic management and the Clash Football Club management have come to an agreement in terms - thus making Albion Athletic the fourth team invited into the Clash FC system.

The Albion Athletic name will be changed to Clash Athletic, keeping the tradition of both the team and the club moving forward.

The team thanks Clash FC for the opportunity to be part of a strong, community club system playing quality soccer in Southern Ontario.

BACK TO BACK CHAMPIONS!

After winning the Division title, Albion moved into the playoffs with hopes of another playoff crown.  Having won their perspective groups, Albion found themselves against new rival, White Eagles in the final.  It would be the league's top defence versus the league's best offence.

Out of the gate early, the teams battled, sharing chances.  Albion tested the Eagle keeper, but several shots were turned away by the quality keeping.  It wasn't until about midway through the first half when the game changed - Andrew ' Whitey' White fired a cracker from about 30 yards out that rang off the cross bar into the goal. Albion 1, White Eagles 0.

Albion seemed to build momentum off of the goal and created several chances, none of which could find the back of the net.  White Eagles would get some opportunities of their own, but an Albion defence (that lead the league in many categories) held up, thwarting every chance.

End result, a 1-0 victory and second playoff crown in as many years.  Congrats to the boys of Albion, as a solid team year produced some great results!

SEPTEMBER 25, 2013

Albion proved their playoff championship win last year was no fluke, turning the 2013 season into a league title. Albion also boasted the league's best goal against, including 9 shutouts.

The playoff rounds have started and Albion has continued form, securing 2-1 and 2-0 victories.  The defence has been solid, midfield finding form and Brian McFarlane has been on fire, knocking in 3 quality goals in the last 3 games.

The next round is yet to be determined, keep posted.

August 14, 2013

Some players are beginning to find their form after a slow start and the team game has vastly improved, strengthening Albion's chances of a league crown.

CHAMPIONS!

After knocking off the high scoring and talented 2nd place XPress in the semi-final, the boys of Albion faced league winners, Clash FC, in the Division Championship.  Albion, known to have a knack off knocking off first place squads, came out strong - with nothing to lose.  The end result was a solid 3-0 win in a well deserved championship victory.

Congrats to the boys in yet another rebuild season, that took some time - but produced a fitting ending for a team with great repore.   Next season looks to have some great results, with most of the squad returning to chase the league crown!

June 6, 2012

After a mediocre few years in the Premier and league re-structure - Albion decided to move down a division and work on rebuilding.  With inconsistent player attendance and lack of consistent scoring, it was time to find some new talent and team unity.

Albion had always played hard and were competitive through the years, but it was a good time to re-invent the team and move forward.

It has been a welcoming beginning of the season with players new and old coming together in the first 6 games (4 season/2 Cup rounds).

Keep posted for game updates and season hi-lights.
